Engel Ice Cooler Packs phase at 32°F, efficiently keeping food and drinks cold without the risk of freezing. If freezing is what you are looking for though, Engel Freezer packs phase at 5°F, that’s COLDER THAN ICE, efficiently keeping frozen food and drinks frozen. Even during melting, the proprietary phase change gel in our ice packs stays at this lower temperature. This lower melting point means that when ice begins melting and warming in your cooler, Engel Ice Packs will stay cold, even as they begin to thaw.
The active ingredients in these packs are non-toxic and housed in a rugged puncture proof container designed to provide maximum surface area to increase the efficiency at which they cool. They also feature a leak-proof ultra-sonic spin welded cap, guaranteed to be leak-proof.
Engel Ice Packs will maintain food-safe temperatures for hours, even days without the risk of freezing. When finished using, simply recharge in your household freezer until needed again. Freezing takes about 6-8 hours. It is recommended to use Engel Ice Packs in combination with ice, to extend the life of ice up to 50%.
